The #1 thing that my friends and family give me a hard time about, being a SAHM, is the amount of cleaning I appear to be doing. Almost every day on my Facebook status you can find a list of things that I would like to get done for the day...my agenda. Don't get me wrong, I do not always get everything done on that list, but it's nice for me to have it written out so that when I do decide to slack off and get online I have a reminder of what I should be doing.
So on most days, it appears to everyone that I am cleaning the bathrooms, bedrooms, and doing mountains of dishes. For the most part, I only get to do a little of each of those on any regular day, spending the majority of my time feeding/changing/entertaining a 3 month old and running after a 3 year old!
So today I have decided to show everyone exactly why I have to get some cleaning done every day. This morning I went around my house, snapping pictures of all the "little messes" that seem to be piling up everywhere. Once I figure out how to use my husband's computer, I will post these "before" photos for everyone to peruse.
Today and tomorrow I am going to spend my time cleaning up these messes and will then take "after" photos. Then I am going to leave it alone for two days and take my final photos. The idea behind this challenge to myself is to re-enforce to myself why it is that I do what I do on a daily basis.
So here it goes...I am off to set my timer and get the cleaning done! Anyone else with me?
